Inspired by my strange obsession with vintage dolls, this quirky girl is off on a shopping trip. With pearl-trimmed purse in hand and a glazed, looking-off-into-nowhere gaze, she’s ready to go buy some stuff to make her feel good. The title — which comes from the Lady Gaga song “Paparazzi” — was perfect for this painting because it played on the plastic material of the girl and the plastic nature of today’s material girl. If you love this painting it means you’re kooky like me and that’s awesome!
