Wheel of Miss Fortune

This painting was birthed from childhood memories of the wheel games of chance at the local boardwalks, fairs and carnivals. It started out as something totally different, which most of my boards do, but I kept some of the original elements (the dog, rocket, ice cream cone, teddy bear, hat) because they reminded me of the various prizes you might win, hung all about to entice one to plunk down their money. I used a limited color palette with this one to represent the simplicity of the game wheels, while keeping the colors warm and inviting to give it a vintage feel. The main SPIN2WIN centerpiece is me having fun with text, a side effect of having been a graphic designer for decades.
